Grace Showalter is an expert in creating programs that deliver improved clinical and business outcomes. Her work on ACO COVID-19 Pandemic Response has been recognized by the Mid-Atlantic Telehealth Resource Center and American Academy of Family Physicians. Ms. Showalter has expertise in population health, value-based care, and CMS reimbursement programs, and authored a comprehensive Guidebook for the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit. In partnership with the Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative, Ms. Showalter has authored an open-source Brain Health Navigation Program Guide (publication forthcoming). She is a sought-after speaker on the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and Medicare Shared Savings Programs and has been invited to author peer-reviewed publications on artificial intelligence and persona-based implementation of health IT. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University and her Master of Science in Health Informatics and Information Management from the University of Mississippi Medical Center while practicing clinically in critical care, med-surg, and post-acute settings. Currently, Ms. Showalter owns and operates a cognitive care clinic in rural Pennsylvania where she continues to work clinically to provide care to patients and families navigating cognitive impairment and dementia diagnoses. Ms. Showalter thrives on empowering health care teams to overcome the biggest challenges in healthcare so they can deliver the best care to patients and find greater joy in practice.

Dr. John Showalter is an award-winning physician executive who has served in senior leadership positions at academic medical centers and health IT vendors. He has been recognized as a Top 25 Innovator by Modern Healthcare (2020), and his work in COVID-19 vulnerability has been recognized by Fast Company as a World Changing Idea (2021). He is the HIMSS best-selling author of Mastering Physician Engagement and is a highly sought-after thought leader in healthcare innovation and technology. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University and his Medical Doctorate and Master of Science in Information Systems from Penn State University. He is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics, having completed the first American Board of Internal Medicine approved Fellowship in Clinical Informatics. Dr. Showalter has practiced as a primary care physician in rural Pennsylvania and a hospitalist in urban Mississippi; his clinical experience with disparities in healthcare make him a passionate advocate for health equity.
