Grace Showalter founded Vitruvian Consulting Group to empower health care teams to overcome the biggest challenges in healthcare- from hacking the revenue cycle to successfully implementing healthcare technology- so patients can get the care they need and deserve while clinicians find greater joy in practice. Ms. Showalter is adept at creating programs that deliver improved clinical and business outcomes, with her work on ACO COVID-19 Pandemic Response gaining recognition from the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the National Consortium of Telehealth Resource Centers. Ms. Showalter has experience and expertise in population health, value-based care and contracts, and CMS reimbursement programs. She is sought after speaker on the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and Shared Savings Program (ACO), team-based care for population health, and success in risk adjustment. With an expansive history in clinical practice across multiple settings and clinical informatics, she has championed effective statewide coordination of care collaboratives, trained and implemented Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs, and instituted antibiotic and opioid stewardship programs in rural and underserved primary care practices on behalf of the QIN-QIO. Ms. Showalter has been invited to publish in peer-reviewed journals on persona-based implementation of health IT and artificial intelligence, and authored a comprehensive Guidebook for the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University and her Master of Science in Health Informatics and Information Management from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
